Max
Max is a 10-year old Shih Tzu with lymphoma.
He was otherwise healthy going into the diagnosis mid-September. His owner found his lymph nodes a bit swollen after being groomed, but didn’t think much of it until he lost his appetite and a lot his usual energy. That’s when his veterinarian referred the family to an oncologist.
Max is already 2 months into his 17-week chemo treatment plan. He’s responding well and is reported to be in remission. His owner has a very special relationship with the dog. She’s had him since he was a puppy, calls him her “Baby” and couldn’t live with her conscience if she didn’t see this through, no matter what it takes. Max is a lucky boy to be so loved!
Our Fund is still quite low, so we were only able to offer a small grant to Max. We hope to get more donations during #GivingTuesday and over the holidays. Please consider helping these wonderful dogs with a generous donation to the Pie Fund.
