Moon
Moon is a 15-year old Cocker Spaniel diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.
To date, she’s already survived being hit by a car and surgery in 2011 to remove some cancerous tumors. You can tell from her photo, she appears quite stoic.
All was fine for years following her surgery, until several large mammary tumors appeared in early 2015 and were growing quickly. Fortunately breast cancer in dogs does not require the same long-term treatment plans as prescribed for people. A mastectomy to remove the growths should achieve a positive outcome, and allow Moon to continue enjoying her favorite pastimes of herding and snuggling with the family cats.
With help from the Pie Fund, Moon’s surgery is currently being scheduled. Please send her your warm, healing wishes for a full recovery!
